Prelude Music: Some brides choose to save the trumpet for the her brilliant entrance, and have the other musicians (harp, organ, strings, woodwinds) perform the prelude without solo trumpet. Others wish to include trumpet during the prelude selections, as well. Please consider whether you wish the classical prelude style to be upbeat, or more relaxed, or a combination of styles.
Seating of Mothers/Grandmothers: Usually one piece of music is sufficient, whether you have one or four (or more!) honored guests. Some couples choose to have more than one selection performed if many special guests are being seated.
Wedding Party Processional: During this selection, the minister, groom, and best man enter first, followed by the groomsmen, bridesmaids and maid of honor (and perhaps a flower girl and/or ring bearer).
Bridal Processional: I can announce your entrance with a fanfare first, or start directly into the processional.
Service Music: If you are including hymns during the ceremony, please let me know if you would like the trumpet to play along. I can play the melody with the organ or ensemble, as well as provide beautiful descants (a harmony above the melody).
Recessional: After the final blessing and the announcement of the couple, the music signals the end of the ceremony. It is performed while the couple and the wedding party exit.
Postlude: This music is performed while the guests exit.
